經過全國大賽 (高中聯賽) 的一番激鬥後，總北高中單車競技部的小野田坂道漂亮地贏取了綜合優勝。在夏季即將結束之際，三年級生金城、卷島、田所亦即將畢業。為了繼承總北隊「全員團結飛馳」之靈魂，小野田每天堅持努力練習。

這時候，總北隊收到了「熊本火之國山路賽」的參賽邀請，並且決定由參加全國大賽的六名成員一起出賽。參賽的車隊除了有為一雪前恥而聲言要打倒總北的箱根學園外，還有勁敵京都伏見和難纏的廣島吳南，以及有「炎之爬坡者」稱號的吉本所在的當地隊伍熊本台一。爲了準備比賽，小野田坂道等總北成員們也都士氣高漲。然而，只有一人例外…

現在，總北隊的「最後的比賽」將以熊本、阿蘇山爲舞臺展開。「繼承靈魂，並將其超越。」胸中懷著熾熱的決心，男兒們再次站在起點線上——！
